Decaf Matcha Steamed Cakes Recipe

Time to whip up some easy decaf matcha treats! This recipe for light and fluffy steamed cakes is incredibly simple to make.

The secret shortcut? It all starts with pancake mix!

Ingredients

  • Egg: 1
  • Sugar: 3 tbsp
  • Milk: 100ml
  • Vegetable Oil: 2 tbsp
  • Pancake Mix: 1 bag (approx. 150-200g)
  • Decaf Matcha Powder: 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk the egg and then mix in the sugar.
  2. Add the milk and vegetable oil and stir. Sift in the pancake mix and decaf matcha powder, and mix until everything is well combined.
  3. Line a muffin tin with paper liners or use silicone cups. Pour the batter into the cups.
  4. Steam over medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes in a steamer until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
